Yoga is available to everyone, in contrast to the necessary perfection
implied by stunning pretzel poses of yoga celebrities. Yoga can be a personal
endeavor, learned and practiced outside a classroom setting. No matter
what limitations exist, yoga provides the means to bring out the best
in each individual. This requires an understanding of a person's present
condition, potential, and goals.
The yoga that I practice uses repetition into and out of postures, an
emphasis on function rather than form, a focus on breath as the medium
for movement, and the refined art and science of combination. These factors
allow co-creation of unique sequences of different orientation, length,
and intensity to suit the intention and context of your practice.
A yoga uniquely designed for your body, energy, lifestyle, temperament,
and condition is unlike anyone else's yoga, because you are unique. Regardless
of any limitations -- due to age, disease, disability, or distress --
your yoga can help you resolve your limitations and increase your capacity
for happiness.
